Valid Symbol $ blocked in "Systems To Scan" Angentless over SMB scan #45

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start New Windows Network Share Agentless Over SMB
2. Specify a valid hidden (administrative share) for "Systems to scan" ie
\\KitchenComputer\secret$

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
i expect the scan to run. The webpage states $ is not a valid character

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
OpenDLP 0.4.3 on the Ubuntu VM

Please provide any additional information below.
The appending $ indicates the network share is hidden.

Thanks for catching this. I'll have it fixed in my next release.

I am now looking into this, but I can scan a share like this: \\wxp\C$

I don't get an error stating that the "$" is an invalid character. Here is the
output from OpenDLP starting the scan:

\\wxp\C$: Trying to deploy (0 systems remain in queue)
\\wxp\C$: Child agentless scanning process started. Check logs for errors.

I did fix some agentless share scan bugs in 0.4.3. Are you sure you're running
the latest version? Can you post screenshots of your policy (profiles.html),
the "Start a New Scan" screen (startscan.html), and the results of starting the
scan (start-verify.html)? Thanks.
