Can we use footnotes in the chapter?

dazzaji commented 10 years ago

Update - this is an open question to the editors now - awaiting reply on this and on the approach to camera-ready or text/LaTeX formatting...

Editor is still checking. I suspect when we get edits back on our interim draft (to be submitted today) we will get more guidance on footnotes and other stylistic elements... or we can always do our own thing if feedback/direction is lacking.

I heard back from Julia Lane that they don't expect to hear from Cambridge (the publisher) about the style guide re footnotes or other format stuff till later in January so... we are on our own. Let's just keep using the .tex biblio method we have used to this point and sort out whatever style requirements the publisher adheres to once we discover them. Also, as an example of how one editor/author is handling footnotes, check out Helen's chapter in our repo on The Limits Of Anonymity And Consent In The Big Data Age 5.docx
