LaTeX does not compile cites to PDF #34

I can't seem to get the LaTeX to compile the citations. They just show up as question marks. I tried your suggestions of compiling twice (and more times) but got the same results.

I'm using the texworks app for mac. Any suggestions?

In the upper left corner, next to the green arrow used for compilation, there is a box with choice of compilation. You need to run bibtex once, and then back to pdflatex and run it twice. Every time you change bibliography, you need to run bibtex and follow with two pdflatex compilations. No need to do it if you are not changing bibliography.
