Add a sort title for collections so main collection page will sort by lastname #463

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. So if we have a title Aaron Pickus Electronic Correspondence, on the main page, it's sorted by A. So everyone is sorted by their first name, even though the short collection title showing is Pickus Electronic Correspondence. So it looks it even looks random. Describe the solution you'd like Having a sort title would give the opportunity to present collections in a more orderly manner--you could have: Transportation Department: Pickus and have all the Transportation email collections together and sorted by last name or another way that makes sense to the institution.

Describe alternatives you've considered the ability to put email collections in groups-- so I could create a Record Group Transportation and put those collections in there. The more email collections we process, the more scrolling down the page people have to do.

Additional context This is the funky way our collection appears on the main page.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, the order of the collections is not specified, and if you run the same collections on different servers they might be ordered differently. We plan to implement a 'sort by' feature to address this.

Allowing collections to be grouped is a good idea. We will think about this.
