There has been interest in allowing human created annotations. I can create a POST annotations endpoint to create an annotation that could be implemented as a webform on PBDB or other web fronts.
We should have further discussion if this should require ORCID authentication for the purpose of tracking/weighting authority. I want to coordinate this with Susan Butts and Holly Little's work on creating different annotation types.
