Find a funder for Digital Local Heros by 10th Feb

We're keen to pilot our digital local heros project and Wikimedia has some funding that would work.

Steps

• [x] Review all the parts of the application so that we know we have covered all the bases early
• [x] Investigate potential wikiprojects
• [x] See if we can find local collaborators
• [x] Get prices for a venue
• [x] Develop plan for publicity
• [ ] Decide if we are thinking about the rapid grant or the main grant.

Have emailed various local venues - suprisingly there aren't many that let you use their IT facilities (some of the venues that offer IT qualifications actually just use laptop trolleys)

So we might be looking at haveing a set of cheap laptops.

Next step is to ask in the main library.

I went to visit the Luton Irish Forum - they'll be an excellent venue. (and a really project-friendly space -lots of historical photos on the walls)
