AICRJ have provided us a massive data dump from their previous reviewer database and would like us to import this into Janeway.
I tried a test using the Reviewer Import plugin, but failed.

The problem with interests is a bug in the plugin. LMK if they want it, we’ll have to fix it.

@justingonder Another issue: the expertise column sometimes truncates in the middle of a word. If they want to use it they should clean that up.

@justingonder I did a test import with 2 users to dev. I turned the “expertise” column to interests (not sure if that’s what they want). That looks all munged up. If they want that we may need to reformat that column.

I got it. I imported to google docs and got a tsv. There are some problems with this document. 1. Some of these don’t have email addresses. I don’t think we can create an account without one.

@justingonder can you save this file as tsv? sorry, my excel won’t let me do it.

@estherverreau4 i think this is another one we’ll probably have to look at the command line for. there is also extraneous data in this export that i’m not sure we can map or not. this isn’t a fire, but we have been having a rough time with AICRJ lately, so they’ll no doubt be pinging us in the weeks ahead. we can grab some time to discuss when it’s convenient.

Countries are expressed incorrectly (should be country codes: https://journalpub-dev.escholarship.org/admin/core/country/) It should follow the format in the docs. (Reviewer Import — Janeway Imports 1.5 documentation ) Unfortunately this code uses column indexes and not names.
