If your Kanka world is filled with a bigger number of entities, the module seems to be broken and needs a while to show the categories. Some kind of visual would be good to see that it is still processing the data. Same goes for adding and renewing entities.
I see that the contrast changes to grey, but it is not strong enough imo, also it doesn't say what category/entity is the current one. That would also be helpful to check, if there is still a process going on or if the module is timing out (seems to happen with to many entities per category. ~200 seems to be fine, ~2000 is too much).
