testserver: (sub-)collections seem empty #80

Closed MatthiasArnold closed 10 years ago

MatthiasArnold commented 10 years ago

on the testserver, the (sub-)collections appear empty and do not show any records, e.g. "0 records found in resources/Priya Paul Literature".

however, within the "resources" folder all the 22700+ records show up.

It seems that, in the respective folder, one file has as owner "johannes.alisch@ad.uni-heidelberg.de / biblio.user", while the rest have "admin / biblio.users". On the other hand, the permissions for these files are "rw-r--r--".

Which are the intended owner and permisisons?

MatthiasArnold commented 10 years ago

for members of the hra the rights on the test and live systems should be the same.

I can only speak for the medialab team (4 members: marnold1; johannes.alisch; simon.gruening; tony.buchwald), where the permissions should be create - modify - delete for records within at least these collections: Ethnografische_Fotografie Popular_Culture Priya Paul Literature Priya_Paul_Collection Samples Urban_Anthropology

The original issue is probably related to the rewrite of the collection path following "inside" made in 905298c. I believe this has been fixed in cf95efbfae2f3d607fb1e5c23134fea7bd39703b. It is JavaScript-related and does not have anything to do with permissions.

Yes, I am on it, it is partially solved.

claudius108 commented 10 years ago

Fixed, and updated the test server. Waiting for feedback as to intended behaviour.

thanks - it works again!
