This issue was opened last year, and I am not sure I know fully what was intended behind it.

One thing needed will be Link Resolvers will need a way to create an OpenURL for a catalog item for the Drupal Toolkit to be able to respond to it. These requests may be lookups by Title, ISBN, ISSN. UR currently has a way for 360Link to perform these lookups in Voyager and will need DT to be able as well.

Dave, can you add anything else to this requirement and let me know if there was another aspect to this topic. We can either add on here if related enough, or open a separate issues.

I am going to move this to higher priority. I have had two calls in two weeks regarding this. Including Tulsa CC contacting their A-Z database/ERM and link resolver vendor called WT Cox subscriptions.

My sense is that if Libraries do not have a way for their subscription/link resolvers to find known data in XC Drupal that it would be a deal breaker.

Specifically what we will need is a way to link to specific records in XC by ISSN, ISBN, title, and by source system ILS identifier (e.g. the Bib 001 which I think is housed in the xcrecordid. We would need a base URL syntax that can be used to search by one of these parameters.

OCLC has a really good document about linking to library catalog records at the URL below. Perhaps that will be helpful.

Dave, please chime in. When the requirements for this are defined, please assign to Peter.

Shin from Kyushu mentions that they have done both Open URL and RSS (open search).

I am putting this into the "incorporate Kyushu work" milestone. We will need to do an assessment of whether it does what we need it to.
