This is not an MST question, I don’t think. If we can confirm that it is not a Voyager export problem and if we think that it is an OAI Toolkit problem, we should move the issue to the OAI project.

Ralph is saying that we have exported records from Voyager, but can’t find them in the OAI Toolkit and I think there is no trace of their disappearance. Right?

I will open a FB issue.

No. If the MST service doesn't produce a record it logs a 'no output' error. On Mon, Feb 13, 2012 at 3:27 PM, Cook, Randall rcook@library.rochester.edu wrote: Does this mean that we have missing records that we can’t account for? Not logged or anything?

I found something strange with BIB 1565516. This is what the record looks like:

I have confirmed that this record was exported from Voyager in the initial export. However, when I look in the OAIToolkit, it’s not there (I’m looking through the modifiedxml_dest directory for the MARC XML record), hence it’s not in the MST. This BIB is not one of the seven records that were invalid from the initial load. There were no skipped records in the initial load, either. No records failed to convert, so I’m not sure what happened to it. I’d like to load the single file through the OAIToolkit to see what happens to it. I may try that later on today.

May I have access to this server and the OAI directories? Without looking at this case specifically, the chance of figuring this out is pretty slim...

Ralph, can you identify perhaps a couple of more that you are sure were in the export, that didn’t load and that didn’t fall out into any logs along the way and get them to Chris Delis. I think some of the missing bibs from the held holdings that we can’t explain might be good candidates. I would say no more than 5.

[~admin], Ralph, Is there/or will there be actionable work here? If not, we should close.
