Minor fixes to compile #8

There were a few minor bugs.

I also changed src/truetype to src/garnet-truetype -- but this solution may not be optimal.

For the readme: I needed to install additional xfonts packages (possibly only xfonts-100dpi or xfonts-75dpi) under Ubuntu 14.04 (and then restart).

Thanks fro the fixes! The Truetype stuff in a bad state (shameful of me to leave it in that state) and probably needs to be rolled by to the last Sourceforge version. I haven't yet been able to get it to work yet, though apparently at one point it was working. The xfonts suggestion is a good one. Embarrassingly, I've haven't been able to get Garnet to work on my laptop, and that's probably why.
