There's no place in the current schema.org tree for Tool, Device, Instrument. There is a MedicalDevice type but it inherits from MedicalEntity. Vehicle is a sub-class of Product which also has a sub-class of IndividualProduct with a property for serialNumber. Right now this seems the best fit.
Question: Do we add an extension to geoschemas.org for Instrument? Or is this being covered by SSN and the IoT community?
