NOTE Most of the sections didn't get to discuss the Data Feminism reading last week, so I'm extending this discussion. I've added a couple more short readings about Open Access publication - no worries if you don't get to it!

Agenda:

  • [x] Demonstrate the PR if needed (ask for volunteer)
  • [x] Ask for some volunteers to demo the PR review
  • [x] Ask for some volunteers to show off their websites (you could pick students who have posted their link already)
• [ ] Alternate reading and discussing the readings in #21 that you didn't get to last week (20-30 min)
• [ ] Student screenshare assignment #139 (45 min)
  • [x] Make sure everyone can accept the assignment and open Codespaces (15 min)
  • [x] Show how to commit and sync. GitHub Classroom should run an autograding action - make sure to wrap up ~10 minutes before the end of the section so that there's time to show students how that works.

We will show students how to publish their analysis in their portfolios next week if they need assistance with that. No need for anyone to worry about that until then.

Great job yesterday @JKinsler, @jsmi374, @Adriannaluger, @kdwalker24, @cmq879, @peterkobylarz and @nbol48 !! we spent more time than we'd planned on demonstrating pull requests and profile pages and didn't have time in class to do the readings. A reminder to please be sure to do the readings and post your responses and questions in the Discussion for this week (https://github.com/earthlab-education/Earth-Analytics-2023-01-Intro/discussions/21?sort=new). Also remember to read and reply to at least 2-3 of your classmates' posts!
