• IRIS currently expects files in a directory --> replace with with EO API endpoint for dynamic data access
• existing jupyter lab version of IRIS, existing version with access to object storage...

Let's have the meeting (email sent). We are going to start the implementation of the EOTDL plugin on the SCANEO labelling tool, so if we can also integrate IRIS requirements from the start we can do something more general to interface with other tools as well.

Notes on the meeting with @aliFrancis @Patrick1G @jamesemwheeler

Goals:

• Demonstrate third party app integrations in EOTDL
• Bring together Phi Lab activities and EOTDL
• Integrate IRIS labelling tool with EOTDL

Notes on IRIS labelling tool:

• Javascript front end served with a Python backend
• IRIS does not currently support STAC (the integration should manage it)
• IRIS only labels in raster format, while SCANEO only works with vector geometries (complementary apps)

Requirements for the integration:

• The EOTDL API should accept labels as geojson or raster
• The EOTDL API will be in charge of generating STAC metadata if required
• The tools will be served in the user workspace (@achtsnits @Schpidi) and proxied to a nice url.
• The python library/cli will handle user authentication and data retrieval/ingestion

Once the SCANEO repository is public it can be used by @aliFrancis to use as a reference in order to implement additional features to IRIS if necesary (STAC support, cloud-native labelling, etc)
