Cannot download from kdd database #1

I am trying to download data for a number of elements using the KdD search tool. I can download single elements just fine, and within seconds, but if I try to download even two the progress bar moves up to some number and then just sits there for as long as I've let it (30 min.). "Cancel" button does not work, but the "Close" button closes the progress window.

Hi there,

I tried to reproduce the issue unsuccessfully, but perhaps you can tell me if this is different than what you were doing:

  1. Navigate to https://earthref.org/KdD/search
  2. Set a filter that results in a few hundred partition coefficients (e.g. Rock Type = "Alkali Basalt") being matched
  3. Click on "Download Results" in the upper right
  4. Click on "Download Rows"
  5. Open the file in the downloads folder (the file name should be something like "kdd_downloaded_rows.txt") to verify that it contains the expected data

Perhaps there is an alternate workflow that is broken and we're not aware of it.

Thanks for raising this issue,

My workflow was the same except that I was searching for elements rather than rock types. Single elements downloaded in seconds, but I couldn’t get more than one at a time to work (I needed 31). This morning I did Sr and Ba together that that took seconds, but then I tried 4 elements with 919 hits, and the progress bar went immediately to 54% and never went beyond that. It either works in a second or two or else the progress bar jumps to some value in a second or two and then never moves.

I'm working in Safari, but same behavior in Chrome.

Search I did attached.
