You are using Linux Mint... the web interface as well as its installer are only tested versions as described on the home page.

The installer recognized that it is Linux Mint. Since Linux Mint is an Ubuntu variant, there is generally no problem installing easy-wi. However, this has to be done by hand.

The installer currently only supports Debian, Ubuntu and CentOS. The fact that Linux Mint is not listed has to do with the fact that it is purely a client OS. Debian/Ubuntu/CentOS are both client and server distributions.

I recommend either installing it by hand or using one of the supported systems.
