Here is the general grading rubric that @ebeshero and I formulated over the summer. Some assignments will use a more specific rubric as well allotting points to well-formedness, and other criteria.
11 points: if completed extra credit AND everything perfect
10: everything's perfect!
9 : mostly terrific; solid grasp of assignment, some little thing not as it should be
8.5 or 8.8: Very Good, ~one serious thing is problematic
8 : good/sufficient but somewhat sketchy work, missing something important (more sketchy than the Very Good)
7.5: good enough, but light on effort
7, 6, or 5: various levels of not satisfactory work (6 = usually our lowest score)
5: something abysmal... they completed one thing properly.
