Saves not showing up #3

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Saved game to flash drive
2. Plugged in flash drive
3. Nothing shows up in your program when I go to "open" a new game plus save???

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to see a file to "open"
I see nothing

What revision of SaveEdit are you using? For what game platform?
Xbox 360 - Revision 61

Please provide any additional information below.
I wanted to be able to change my class for a new game plus, but apparently I
can't even find a save to edit. I have already started the new game plus and
skipped through all the initial cutscenes. Then I "saved" the game and there
is only 1 save game file for it. But nothing shows up in your program?

You need to use the file open / save options, the career picker is provided for
easy access to PC saves in the PC installation directory.

For ease of use, click the Settings button and check "Don't use career picker".

I use the "Open from File" option. It lets me navigate to my thumbdrive where
it has the Xbox 360 folder. There are no gamesaves in the folder that show up.
However, when I put the thumbdrive in my Xbox, it shows the saves are on the
thumbdrive. Another (less helpful) save modifying tool shows the saves but
won't allow me to make the changes I want to make (b/c the program doesn't
offer alot). Do I need to use some program to rip the saves off my thumbdrive
first before your editor can work with them?

SaveEdit won't directly open Xbox 360 save containers, you need to extract the
real save file using a too like Modio first. Unfortunately I have no experience
doing this myself so I can't give further details.

Thank you. That solved the problem. I assumed your software would read the
save files like the other one did. After using Modio to extract the save, all
is good (well, I still need to figure out what to change, but your program is
working correctly for me now). Thank you!
