Another set of microbial-specific classes #3097

Open muthuvenkat opened 9 years ago

Hi again,

I would like to suggest another ~105 microbial-specific compounds, most of which have been used in biochemical assays of prokaryotes and have been published in the microbiological taxonomic literature.

Please find attached my excel file with suggested class names, suggested parent is_a relationships, suggested property restrictions, and a list of synonyms (found in the literature).

If you decide to go with another class name, could you please move my suggested class name to the list of synonyms? That way we can keep all the synonyms together in the class.

Thanks again for incorporating all of these compounds into ChEBI!

Let me know if you have any questions or issues......

Hi Carrine,

We are gradually working our way through the list. In most cases, we would use the names you provide, but if we decide to use a different name as the 'ChEBI Name', then we would of course add the suggested name as a synonym. (If you find any cases where we haven't, please let me know - it will probably be because of a slip, but definitely not because of policy!

I believe we have shared our 'progress spreadsheet' GoogleSheet with you, so you can see monitor we are getting on - let me know if you can't access it.

Kind regards, Gareth

Hi Carinne,

This spreadsheet is now complete bar one entry, the one on line 7 for N-benzoyl-arginine. I'm not sure if you mean N-benzoyl-L-arginine or N-benzoyl-DL-arginine. In all the other relevant entries you have specified either L or DL, so I'm not sure what to do with this one.

Kind regards, Steve
