The EAR Production Suite is a set of VST® plugins and tools for producing immersive and personalizable audio content suitable for any Next Generation Audio codec. It is based on the Audio Definition Model (ITU-R BS.2076) and the ITU ADM Renderer (ITU-R BS.2127) and enables monitoring on any ITU-R BS.2051 loudspeaker configuration.
Just an observation (you may be aware of anyway) or just question:
Tried out some new variations of BLITS in 7.1.4 in DaVinci Resolve NGA authoring these days.
When the Dolby bed is only applied as 7.1 and 4 objects are panned as height speakers in all top corners, these objects get imported from the exported Dolby ADM at azimuth 30º elevation 54.6º in EPS.
Is that intentional?
Or maybe still under discussion at ITU in the loudspeaker labelling or other ADM issue?
The corresponding rendering layout 4+7+0 in EPS has the correct positions.
Attached a screenshot and the exported Dolby ADM xml.
Maybe the object positions there are not correct ?
Wouldn't the corner imply positions "1" instead of "0.5"?
Or do the Dolby specs differ?
