Literature regarding peer tutors will be reviewed. Notes may be made regarding institutional tutor organization management to help combat this issue, however, it will likely focus on professor-tutor communication to mitigate this issue as the target audience for these materials are professors. Findings will be reported as best practices.
Recommendations for institutional organizations may be considered at a later data as an extension of this project.
Similar issue #15 raises similar concerns: some arc tutors may do well in class but may not be able to explain the material well. there should be stricter application guidelines and potentially even a test of knowledge.
These concerns will be addressed with this issue.
Change: In ARC tutoring department explanation: maybe put the tutors through a more intense training before they can tutor. I think it should be based on other factors then just grades because Sometimes the stem tuturoing sessions are more harmful to me as a student. Sometimes the tutors will teach or explain something different than what the professors said and then the professor marks it wrong on the exam.
