It appears that this repository does not have a license, which may disallow anyone to use or redistribute its content (read about this here). As I assume you want people to be able to distribute their repositories, which probably builds on top of this one, I think you may want to add a license file.
By the way: To choose a license, choosealicense.com and the opensource guide are great places to start looking.
Adding the license to the repo can then easily be done using one of githubs template, as shown here.
