The Esteem app is great for us to use on our Mobile phones. I have been using it for a while when I am not at the computer. I love it. I know that the project owner is going to issue a new version soon so I want to report this bug to the project owner to fix this before the soon release.
Expected behavior
the esteem app allows us to reply comments to people's comments to our post
after we reply, we can see the preview on the screen
then we can 'post' and it will post
it will then take us back to our post that we were replying the comment
Actual behavior
Right now the behavior of the bug is that it will allow me to comment and to see the preview on the same page but when I tab on the 'post', it fails to post.
And when it fails to post, the app freezes, there is no way for me to get back to the app. This is very serious.
So I restarted my mobile phone to see if I can get back to the esteem app.
Still the app shows the 'frozen' page and would not allow me to use the esteem app
the only way I could get out of this was to 'uninstall' the app which was exactly what I did
then I re-installed the app and could use the app again
I checked to see if my reply comment was posted, it was not posted
so the bug: the reply comment freezes the app
Using Screenshots to reproduce the Bug:
I will provide screen shots to note all the detail to reproduce the bug.
Device Used
Smart phone: Samsung C7 Pro
Operating System: Android 7.0
Browser: Esteem app Version (1.5.1)
Open up the Esteem App in Android.
It will then take you to the home page.
then you look at your blog posts
and I want to make a reply to a comment from a Steemit user:
1. The app FAILS to post when replying to comments
in replying comments, it shows preview but it won't post after tabbing the post
2. I RESTARTED the mobile phone again
I could not use the app but had to restart the phone
3. I went back to the esteem app - page remains frozen
It shows the same frozen page after I restarted the phone. I could not get out of that page:
4. I had to uninstall the esteem app to get out of the frozen page
Since I have put in screenshots what the bug is, I do not need to do a video on reproducing this bug.
