Scan Image - Bonsai synchronization #8

Hey guys, Here is the webpage of ScanImage with some info about how to trigger acquisition: https://docs.scanimage.org/Windows%2BReference%2BGuide/Trigger%2BControls.html I am realizing I don't see any info in the doc about how to send a pulse but I will look more into it and ask around as I believe other labs are using Scan image with behaving animals. Thanks!

Ideally, we would use this: https://docs.scanimage.org/Concepts/Triggers/Auxiliary%2BTrigger.html or something like this: https://docs.scanimage.org/Basic%2BFeatures/Data%2BRecorder.html

If we cant, one solution would be to use the acquisition trigger with number of frames set to 1, such that each frame from bonsai would result in a single frame in your scope. But not sure how reliable this would be...

I am not sure how scan image would react to a fast start/stop signal (if I want 60-100 fps). I do not have a vDAQ but will look into the auxiliary trigger. Thanks!!

Is there no way you can save a continuous signal in scan image?

It sounds I need the fancy NI SCB-19 board anyhow. It kind of make sense if I want the signal to be precisely timed to the tiff image to feed it to the FlexRIO digitizer. But I will ask around if people found other way to do it
