Increase range for clearly seeing player IDs #307

Suggestion Description Increase the range in which holding down M will show a player's ID and have it scale with distance so it's legible from a distance.

Reason From about 20-30 feet away IC the text is pretty small. After a short distance more, pushing down M won't show it anymore. It would help for it to scale with the further distance and be seen from further away when dealing with things like rdm/vdm reports.

Very much this. I cannot tell you how many times I've tried to get someones' ID and since they aren't close, you see nothing at all. (I think the distance is like 3m)

I 2nd this. Having to shuffle around in the cells to get someone’s ID for jailing would help. One minor addition to this as well is maybe having the number appear bigger the further you are away. Tried getting someone’s ID in a pursuit once and it was extremely difficult

Just thinking out loud, could this end up being something that is exploited during gunfights? To see where the enemy is hiding?

Anything is open to abuse and if you think that something is abused, report it. Helping to make the text for player IDs viewable from a further distance can also be an immense help for everyone as well..

i mean if people are willing to hold down M to catch player IDs for positions in gun fights that sounds like a general mindset that people shouldn't have coming into the server and playing and as said above should just get reported
