Wrapper functions can specify field quantities of possibly high dimension (i.e. like field quantities on a PDE mesh)
Include some built-in ways to actually perform the compression (like SVD)
Incorporate reconstruction accuracy into the adaptive training procedure

No such considerations
You can give pre-compressed quantities to amisc, but it will not distinguish with any other variables
