The RPM and DEB would be a nice extra but I'm not sure how we can properly build both of them on the same machine.

Try-beta, would not be a good idea, we could create a special new site, try-nightly or something like that. But to me those are all separate items with different priorities.

Hm, good point, DEB and RPM are tricky to produce. Very low priority. But, like try-nightly, we can still track it here, right?

Well, I'd prefer to track all this in separate issues to be honest. @thradec was just being lazy ;)

Update: “build IDEs” seems to be done (@davidfestal @bjansen is that correct?), “automatic checks of pull requests” too.
