@sghung Are OpenAPI tools eventually going to support Kubernetes, or is unsupported Kubernetes just life as we know it?
@sishida , eventually, it will.
@keithchong Would it be OK if we put more details about this problem and solution into the opening comment of this issue instead of adding an update to the docs? The users can view the issue here, and then we can close it after the developers enable OpenAPI tools to support Kubernetes.
@sishida, this sounds like you're using the approach to document other "temporary" limitations/restrictions, correct? If so, then yes, we can add more details here.
@keithchong You are correct! 😄
I'm thinking of editing Steven's original Sept. 11th comment to something like this:
In Codewind 0.4.0 and earlier, OpenAPI tools does not support Kubernetes. In the future, Codewind should include IKS with Che support.
What do you think?
@sishida: In Codewind 0.6.0 and earlier, OpenAPI tools does not support Kubernetes. In the future, Codewind OpenAPI Tools will also include IKS with Che support.
From the user's point of view, the OpenAPI Generator commands do not show up in the Che Theia Editor command palette.
@keithchong I have edited the first comment. I will leave this issue alone for now until after we get OpenAPI Tools to include IKS with Che support. Thanks! 😃
@sishida, ok, no problem.
Problem description: OpenAPI tools currently does not support Kubernetes.
Proposed solution: Codewind OpenAPI Tools should also include IKS with Che support. Elson recommends: Add the IKS requirement to the general Che support item as well to include IKS in the future when we do Che support.
