Integer types in Homie MQTT are not properly validated

Integer types (and potentially others) are not properly validated before sending. Full details are in this thread.

Highlevel:

• Exceptions for checking properly formatted values are swallowed
• Validation is improperly coded (strings passed to formatter instead of Integers, etc.)
