What this PR changes/adds

Adds documentation for core EDC concepts for adopters.

maybe's better to keep an unique format for file names, like everything-lowercase.md with dashes instead of empty whitespaces.

Let's do that from now on, but for the existing cases, we will need a cleanup pass. This also touches on a larger issue which is consistent writing conventions. I'll come up with something when I am back.
