i tracked the issue to netbeans – was configured for index.xhtml,
when changed to order.xhtml things worked.
i believe the configuration is wrong in the supplied example.

The issue will be fixed via the Update Center when the Tutorial package is updated.

my report – regarding gfv3 examples downloaded yesterday;

this is project order located at G:\Sun\sges-v3\glassfish\docs\javaee-tutorial\examples\persistence\order
project wants to access index.xhtml
there is not any index.xhtml within the project.
