Crash in mosquitto 1.6.12 #2195

I am experiencing a crash in the mosquitto broker version 1.6.12. The issue template seems to indicate this should be filed as a security issue:

STOP! If you are reporting a security issue, which includes anything that may cause the broker/client to crash, please do NOT report it here but follow the steps at https://www.eclipse.org/security/

I have followed the steps at that page two days ago but have not had a response. The page does say they will ignore the email if it is deemed not a security issue, so I am not sure if I should wait longer or go ahead and file the issue here.

Does anyone have any advice?

Thanks for being responsible about this! To be honest I'm not entirely sure about the process that takes place once an issue is filed on that page. I just know that I get a notification of a new issue at some point.

I can't see anything on the list of closed bugs that I have access to - perhaps you'd be kind enough to email me at roger@atchoo.org with the details. You should be able to see that is the email for the vast majority of the commits to the project.
