Minimized View stacks should offer to show text labels for the Views #2026

The Perspective switcher can often be hard to use by the perspective icons alone, so it was smartly given to option to still show text. I don't think this option has ever existed for minimized view stacks, one of the causes for me to never, ever minimize a stack as I don't want to hover over each one to find the view I'm looking for (the number frequently exceeds the number of open perspectives I have to deal with). It would be nice to toggle showing the labels, and to do so sideways for stacks on the left and right so as to not further cut into the usable screen space for what's not minimized.

Did I understand you correctly? For minimised view stacks you want to see the labels of the views in that stack instead of the icons? Only the "text only" or "icon and text"?

Why limit it artificially as long as something representative remains on-screen?

Sorry, but this does not answer my questions.

I thought I did, but fine. Both, with the option for icons only to also remain.
