7 months ago Edge Node under test connects to the HiveMQ CE broker. No additional broker is required unless you want the TCK and the Edge Node to use an external broker of your choice. It's an option but not necessary.
The only case where a second MQTT Broker of your choosing is required if the Edge Node implements broker redundancy. You'll need the additional broker as the fallback broker.

I have a simple question as I don't think I understand the concept of Sparkplug TCK 100% yet. I need HiveMQ CE broker to connect to Sparkplug TCK webconsole and then in the next step I can connect another broker e.g. Conflux or Mosquitto to test the Sparkplug capabilities or do I have to work with Hive MQ? I connected my Mosquitto broker, but the broker test runs without stopping, leading me to believe that it only works with HiveMQ? Does anyone have experience with a broker other than HiveMQ using Sparkplug TCK?
