@behrisch I'm not even sure whether this is a bug.

@namdre Is there any obvious reason why tau=2 is not valid?

I think the ticket refers to the Krauss model and there is no reason that it should reflect reality everywhere in it's parameter space. Things like jam-stability also require correct setting of sigma.
