This PR became obsolete as climetlab is not used in anemoi any more. A solution based on https://github.com/DeutscherWetterdienst/earthkit-data/commit/728a19216e58c91ea37e8c325c0d3512acb2be52 is currently under internal discussion. This PR should be closed.
