We're getting close to wrapping up The Ecological Detective, and have a couple of options for continuing with a new book in the spring.
Option 1 would be Primer of Ecology in R; this was one Jess suggested. This looks more like population modeling, and has R code in the text (though probably old-skool base R stuff, which we can update to Tidyverse styles)
Option 2 would be Bayesian Models: a Statistical Primer for Ecologists - this was one Halley suggested and was thinking about working through on her own, so maybe she'd be down to code-club with us on it, or at least help us out when we get stuck. It sounds like this does not emphasize the coding as much, so we'd have to work a little harder on that.
