The documentation does not seem to specify what criteria will be used to determine when/if to block another server. With the recent issues around blocking and silencing journa.host, I think this needs to be more explicit in the documentation.
There should be clear guidelines on what behavior by another server will warrant each one of these actions, and what solutions are possible for reinstating the server and removing the block.
There are clear cases when a block is completely warranted (unmoderated racism, spam, hate speech, etc.), but I personally think in less obvious cases this action should be avoided or delayed until there is a clear indication that it is not an isolated incident.
Since these decisions greatly affect all ecoevo.social users, perhaps we should solicit more feedback from the whole community to draft these guidelines.
