χMCF is neither the first nor the only kind of system addressing mechanical connections / joints.
Other systems are well established, too, maybe focusing on smaller scope than χMCF, though. (Cf. Wikipedia's List of welding codes .)
One example are the Standard Welding Procedure Specifications (SWPS) of the American Welding Society. To address users familiar with them and to ease their understanding of χMCF, AK 25 should provide sort of a mapping table between "glossaries" of both systems.
