PSP-1000 Freezing Everywhere Randomly #516

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Anything on the XMB
2. Browsing the internet on the default browser.
3. Playing any ISOs, Eboots, and UMDs

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I try and play games like Dissidia 012 with the mp3player plugin and a couple
others and they freeze after about 2 minutes.
I tried disabling all plugins, but that still didn't work.
I uninstalled the CFW and tried to play Metal Slug Anthologies...
It still froze whenever it felt like.

What version of the product are you using?
Currently, I'm using a PSP-1000 with Pro-C Fix 3 and the CIPL Flasher.
This started happening when I updated from Pro-B10
The list of active plugins are as follows:
[VSH][GAME]Automute
[VSH][GAME]BlinkLED
[VSH]CXMB
[GAME]Joysens
[GAME]mhp3patch
[GAME]npLoader
[VSH][GAME]psnLover
[VSH]SimplysaverKai
[VSH]XMBCtrl
[VSH][GAME]PSPPowerSaver
[GAME]mp3play_lite

Thank you...

1. Backup your plugins somewhere else and delete the Seplugins folder for
testing (to be sure that no plugins are enabled).
2. Check if th XMB and Game clocks are runing at Default frequency.
3. If you were using a MMS with a Custiom IPL you might need to format the MS
again.

Thanks for the tip, I'll try it out when I get back home...
I know that I'm running at the Default Clock Speed for Both XMB and GAME,
And I'm pretty sure I installed the custom IPL on a non-MMS... I never ran any
other CFW than PRO...

If deleting the plugins folder doesn't help... Then I might have to retire my
PSP...

A last resort you could make a Pandora and a MMS, Using it downgrae your unit
back to 1.50 OFW or 5.00 OFW and from that point install a Firmware update to
6.20 (or higher) and instal PRO CFW on a clean copy of the firmware.

I'm tempted to use some1's downgrader to do so...
I don't have access to a pandora battery...
Also, I'm starting to think this is hardware related...
I'll post how it went after I downgrade.

You have a PSP-1000. You can make your own batter a pandora one using the
"Recovery Flasher" Homebrew application (And set it to a normal one afterwards).

No good... I already did that yesterday after I seached how to make a
soft-modded pandora...
I found out it's not the firmware(s), its the PSP itself...
I downgraded to 1.51, then tried 6.20 it started freezing again, and then I put
it back to 6.60...

I'll just save up and get a Vita later...
Thanks for your help... :D
