Save file not working have to restart game

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. load game
2. playing game
3. trying to save

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Some times when I try to save a game the psp will freeze and then I either have 
to restart the psp or some times I can press the home button and reload the 
iso. It doesn't happen all the time. 

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
6.60 PRO-C2

Please provide any additional information below.
So far this has happened on 2 games I've tried
1. Kingdom Hearts Birth by sleep
2. Dj Max Portable 3

Sorry I forgot to add in I'm using a psp 1000 phat. Operating system 6.60 PRO-C2

1) Make sure you use a genuine Sony memory stick
2) Try to disable all your plugins
3) Try to disable the memory stick speedup in the recovery menu
