run many simulations in parallel #14

Hi FYI @ecsendmail @kmoselle @MahdiHajiabadi was able to run simulations in parallel (initial plot in email)..

..some validation required before merging in the changes: which are here:

@ecsendmail believing this is working, merging in.. Have added issue to ensure all simulations in a batch, run for the same length...will clean that up tomorrow evening. cheers
