Emailed this to you too, but here are the Categories we'd like to go with. Just need basic instruction on how to code posts with Categories and tags.
Thanks!
Performance Highlights Experiences Special Events (all fundraising events and potential wedding/rental galas, events) Around the Auditorium (this is essentially News, but we want to include contest info, Camp info etc. here) Historical Highlights
I added the blog categories. For categories, you can either do a bulk edit (see screenshots 1 and 2) or edit them individually as you update the image (see screenshot 3). As for tags, you can add them in the same ways. I would suggest creating a tagging strategy to prevent the number from getting out of control. Let me know if you need more help.
I tried to start putting the blog posts into categories, but I wasn't sure on some of them. Would an interview with a performer go under Experiences or Performance Highlights?
The posts will need to be categorized for launch.
If it's easier, Kerri and I can take care of tagging. A performer interview as it relates to a performance we've had here would go under Performance Highlights.
It would be better for you to put all the posts into categories. Tags will also need to be done eventually but we need to finalize the tagging strategy On Aug 7, 2014 9:25 AM, "JoelleWeber" notifications@github.com wrote:

Assign posts using new taxonomy (TDB). With tags, keep in mind that they are meant to group articles. If a tag is only going ot have one post tagged to it, it shouldn't be a tag.
Sample tags: Hands Together, Heart to Art; Creative Engagement; Fundraising; Contests; Intern Experiences
Bad tags: Individual intern or dancer name unless it is an entire series
