Clean up landing pages, add excerpts? #60

The events page does not have any overarching text. Presumably it will just be a list of the events as they are populated. If you think we need copy here, let me know and I’ll try to put something together.

The landing pages look a bit lopsided to me in that the title of the tab is big and loud on top (Issues, for example) as are the linking pages (bold and all caps, such as Marriage & Civil Unions) so the actual headline is dwarfed (Our Issues Are as Diverse as Our Membership). I realize this is a styling issue, and probably nothing can be done at this point, but it does look a bit wonky.

I did not clean up any of the excerpt text — I figure getting the links active is more important at this point. And I couldn’t readily see how to do it.

Eddie will you explain turning on the excerpt field again? I looked under screen options but didn't see anything obvious.
