Facebook share: Featured/Hero image doesn't load as the thumbnail #436

I'm using Liebling theme with Ghost 4.32.2, with Gatsby to build my blog and host it in Github Pages.

When I try to share an article on facebook / twitter, the featured image (hero image?) of the post does not show up as the thumbnail. Instead, thumbnail is blank and I am unable to change it.

I've attached the screenshot I get when I try to share this post as an example. Is the theme not presenting the image outside to be picked? How to fix this?
