You can leverage GitHub flavored Markdown to achieve syntax highlighting of sample code. I also extracted the link URLs to the bottom of the document to make the text more readable and shifted some things around to improve apparent intended effect like unordered lists and paragraph breaks. I also and moved comments about query types above the queries and made them ruby comments.
