Last run of Snap created a corrupt archive which can not be recovered #5

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Clicking on the archive generates a WinZip error message: "Start of 
central directory not found.  Zip file corrupt"
2. Using 7Zip, the archive can be opened and files seen, however trying to 
extract one or many files gives the message: "Unsupport compression method 
for <filename>
3. Tried several Zip recovery utilities but they have not managed to 
restore the files

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
As above

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Version 4.4 of Snap on Windows XP professional with SP 2.  Lateest version 
of Sun JRE (1.6.03 or thereabouts).

Please provide any additional information below.
Really need to get at some of the files in the archive!
