Mouse dragging does not allow selection of window content, instead drags whole window #186

I'm using macvim Version 7.2 stable 1.2 (33.3). When I try to
select/highlight text using the mouse/trackpad, what happens is that the
window itself gets grabbed and dragged. Double/triple click also does nothing.

I'm relatively sure that this changed at some point (and that it was not a
problem from the initial install). I'm curious about what caused this and
have not tried to purge and re-install MacVim.

I'd greatly appreciate any tips that might help me to determine what's
causing this strange effect.

It sounds like you are using the ATSUI renderer which does not work well with
the stable build. Either download
the snapshot and use that (it is stable as well) or disable ATSUI by opening
Terminal and typing:

defaults delete org.vim.MacVim MMAtsuiRenderer
