Minimize Fails #206

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
When I attempt to minimize MacVim by either CMD+M or the minimize icon, I
receive the following
error in my terminal:

009-08-23 13:22:04.291 MacVim[2399:10b] minimize failed (-4959)

I'm using MacVim snapshot 49. This issue has persisted over the past few
snapshots of MacVim.

This message is not originating from MacVim. Have you got any utilities/haxies
that
affect window management by any chance?

Maybe. I'm using LaunchBar (http://www.obdev.at/products/launchbar/index.html).
I can't think of any thing
else at the moment. Let me give this some more though.

That could certainly be the cause...it would help if you can find out where the
"minimize failed" message comes from. I Googled it and saw this message logged
elsewhere (i.e. when not using MacVim) so other people apparently have suffered
similar problems. I can't really provide much help I'm afraid.

I have no idea what changed, but since upgrading to Snow Leopard my problem has
disappeared. This issue is
closed as far as I'm concerned. Thank you for your time and efforts.

It sounds even more like you had something like an input manager that was
disabled when you upgraded. If you
do figure out what caused it I'd be interested to know.

I'm glad the problem sorted itself out.
